What security looks like in Wagga Wagga
Wagga Wagga sits on the Murrumbidgee River, midway between Sydney and Melbourne, and is the main regional centre for the Riverina. It is home to the Army recruit training centre at Kapooka, RAAF Base Wagga at Forest Hill and a Charles Sturt University campus, with industrial areas at Bomen and East Wagga Wagga. That mix shapes the security local organisations need:
- Industrial estates and depots at Bomen and East Wagga Wagga, with trucks, stock and equipment on site after hours.
- Shops and shopping centres along Baylis and Fitzmaurice Streets that need lock-up checks and alarm response.
- Events and venues, from sporting fixtures to festivals and private functions, that need crowd and access control.
- Building sites in the new estates on the city’s southern side, where plant and materials need protecting overnight.
