What security looks like in Muswellbrook
Muswellbrook sits in the Upper Hunter, in country known for horse studs and farming long before open-cut coal mines and the Bayswater and Liddell power stations arrived. The area is changing again: BHP plans to close the Mt Arthur coal mine in 2030, and new energy projects are being built on the site of the retired Liddell power station. That shapes the security local businesses need:
- Construction and energy project sites, where plant, fuel, cable and tools need protecting overnight and on weekends.
- Contractor yards and depots serving the mines and power stations, with vehicles and equipment parked after hours.
- Shops and businesses in town that need lock-up checks and alarm response after closing.
- Farms and rural properties, with sheds, machinery and fuel spread across large blocks.
