What security looks like in Cowra
Cowra sits on the Lachlan River in the Central West, in farming country built on wool, livestock and wine. The town is known for the 1944 prisoner of war breakout and the Cowra Japanese Garden, and each year it hosts the Festival of International Understanding, with a street parade and carnival. Nearby Canowindra draws big crowds for its International Balloon Challenge. That shapes the security local organisers and businesses need:
- Festivals and community events that need crowd control, access control and bag checks.
- Farms, wineries and rural properties, with machinery, fuel and sheds spread across large blocks.
- Shops and businesses in town that need lock-up checks and alarm response after hours.
- Building and infrastructure sites, where plant and materials need protecting overnight and on weekends.
